Pressure Sensor

Precise pressure measurement in the drinking-water system. Reports unusual pressure drops or spikes — an early-warning sensor for burst pipes, failed supply hoses and installation faults.

Pressure Sensor

The Pressure Sensor continuously measures the line pressure in your drinking-water installation. If pressure drops below the normal operating range — for example due to a burst pipe, a failed supply hose or a valve left permanently open — an alarm is raised. Unusual pressure spikes are also detected, as they may occur with faulty check valves.

Two variants are available: the PREWIE02 with direct Wi-Fi connectivity to the Aqua-Scope app and smart-home systems, or the PRELWE02 with LoRaWAN for locations without stable Wi-Fi and for operators running their own LoRa network.

Where to install the Pressure Sensor

The Pressure Sensor fits into any 1/4-inch opening (EU thread). That's the standard opening at every service/revision point in a drinking-water installation — for example on the backflow preventer or on the main shut-off valve right after the water meter.

If none of those points is available or the location is inconvenient, the easier alternative is on an angle valve under a wash basin. A small T-piece goes between the angle valve and the basin's supply hose — the required adapter is included in the delivery.

Alternative installation: Pressure Sensor on the angle valve under a wash basin, connected via the supplied T-piece.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Aqua-Scope Pressure Sensor measure?
Pressure in the drinking-water pipe over the 0-10 bar range at high resolution. Pressure drops in a still line signal leakages somewhere downstream.
How does the Pressure Sensor detect microleakages?
It watches pressure decay during quiet periods — for example overnight. A slow, steady drop across a still line means water is escaping somewhere in the installation.
Where is the Pressure Sensor installed?
At any accessible junction on the main line — for example on a T-piece near the water meter or on the outlet of the Aqua-Scope Water Guard motor.
Which integrations does the Pressure Sensor support?
Live pressure in bar via the app, plus MQTT and JSON webhooks — you can plug the readings into Home Assistant, ioBroker or your own dashboard.
Do I need extra hardware for the Pressure Sensor?
Just Wi-Fi coverage where the sensor sits. No gateway required. The sensor is mains-powered via USB-C.
